Be intentional

In my last letter I told you that I have been looking at the relationships in my life, doing some bible studies on being a good Godly friend and, God willing, a future spouse. Watching video clips talking about how to treat the people God has placed in my life. Being consistent, reliable and trustworthy, honest and supportive, respectfully listen and communicate. And recently I have been seeing several videos of people saying things like “If he can go 24 hours without talking to you or checking on you… he don’t want you” or “he’ll make time for what he really wants”

I picture a girl just waiting and hoping, checking to make sure her phone is working…and that’s when I saw God staring at the phone, just waiting and desiring to spend some time with me. What about my relationship WITH GOD?? The most important, most satisfying and fulfilling relationship you will ever have.

The past week or so has been a roller-coaster of emotions and confusion, and that picture I see of God staring at His phone ready and waiting to hear from me… I don’t want God, the one who loves me more than anyone, to feel like He’s been put on the back burner. I can’t have meaningful relationships with people when it’s only on my terms. Likewise with God, be consistent, talk with Him, walk with Him, listen, obey.

BE AN INTENTIONAL FRIEND!!!
